I'm on a roll and it's time to go solo

Rollin' in my 5.0

Christmas Eve

Ana and I went to therapy this morning while mom was at work. On the way home we stopped at McDonalds for breakfast. I think she likes biscuits. Anyway therapy is going great, she still has a slight tilt, but is doing much better. You can see the progress if you go back to the Sept. 19th pictures. She is now taking about 3 drunk'n steps between us and can stand balancing on her own for short periods. The Christmas tree is now missing the bottom 2ft of ornaments. Bring on Santa Claus!

11 Months

Anastasia is busy motoring all around the house, keeping us very busy. She is getting her two top teeth, so she hasn't been sleeping very well. She can't wait to see what this Santa Claus thing is all about. I think that is why she is up at night.

Helping with the laundry

Caught in the act.
I knew it was way to quiet.

Getting ready for Christmas

Mom's been busy decorating for Christmas and Ana has been busy undecorating. Looks like it will be tough job to keep someone out of the tree and the ornaments on the tree.

Early Christmas

Great Grandma & Grandpa Paschick were up for Thanksgiving and they stopped by to give Ana her rocking horse. The horse was hand crafted by Great Grandpa from black walnut. Ana will have to grow into it but for now she is enjoying pulling herself up with it and riding it with a little help.

Zoo

Sunday we went to the Detroit Zoo, Sarah, Kirsten, William, and Elizabeth joined us. Although it was a little chilly, it was the best zoo trip ever. We saw so many more animals than in the summer and there were hardly any people there. We spent about three and a half hours looking at everything. On the ride home, we were each asked by Kirsten what our favorite thing at the zoo was: April said the Polar Bears. Alex said the Red Pandas. Beth said the Butterfly House. Sarah said Rhinoceros. Kirsten said the Penguins. If Anastasia could talk, I'm sure she would say the Peacocks. It was a great day.

Panda (Ailuropoda melanoleuca, literally meaning "cat-foot black-and-white")

It is easily recognized by its large, distinctive black patches around the eyes, over the ears, and across its round body. Though the Panda is often assumed to be docile, it has been known to attack humans, presumably out of irritation rather than predatory behavior.

Grandma's Birthday

We went to Frankenmuth for their famous chicken dinner for Grandma's birthday on Sunday. Ana ate everything, chicken, bread, noodles, squash, and mashsd potatoes. She has had quite an appetite lately. She has been trying all of our dinners.. so far she has tried pizza, ravioli, vegetable soup and chicken fajitas. She is working on walking, she walks behind a push toy while we follow. Everyday she gets a little better and goes a little farther. She was home all week with her mom, so she is a little spoiled.

Apple Dumpling

Ana enjoying a Achatz apple dumpling. Their pies feature ingredients that are local, hormone, and antibiotic free without trans-fats. It's her favorite, for now anyway!

My 1st Fall

Today the family went to the annual fall festival car and craft show. We walked to it and Ana got to try out her new hat and mittens, since it was only 40 degrees out. We had a good time and when we got home we had some lemon meringue pie. Ana has been trying all kinds of new foods. Today she had vegetable soup and cheese for lunch. She has also tried french toast, macaroni and cheese, chicken nuggets and buttered noodles. She likes all of them, yes she also tried the pie and made a funny face then immediately spit it out. She also had a tiny bit of strawberry ice cream and loved it. I know it has milk in it... but we could not resist.

Ready for Therapy

Ana was diagnosed with torticollis about 2 weeks ago, which is a injury to one of the muscles in the neck during delivery. Luckily one of our blog followers was showing one of her friends, that is a physical therapist and she diagnosed her problem. We promptly took her to the doctor, the same doctor that didn't notice it for 9 months, and they agreed. She now attends therapy once a week for the next 12 weeks. She is also getting stretched everyday, as often as we can. We were told this is a very common problem that is easily curable. Wish it was caught sooner for the simple fact that she is so strong now and sometimes puts up a heck of a fight!

Birthday

Spent my birthday with my family in Frankenmuth. We wandered around, had lunch at the brewery, and dodged the weather. Ana loved the pretzel bread, couldn't get enough. It was fun to spend my birthday with my little girl.

9 Months

Anastasia is getting so big so fast. We went to the Doctor today and found out that she is 16.3 pounds and 26 1/2 inches long. She pulls herself up to stand on anything available. She is a little wobbily, but getting better every day. It wont be long till she is walking and talking. She finally fits in the shoes that her Dad bought for her when she was just 3 days old. It is hard to believe that she is already 9 months old. Everyone said it would go by fast and they were right.

Ana in the Box

Playing in the blue bin. She has been successfully using the bin to pull herself up and stand, either inside or outside the box. She likes it upside down the best because it makes a great drum. Most of her time is taken up by feeling her first tooth that is breaking through.

Monkey Business

Now that she can crawl there's nonstop monkey business. She's after the dogs, remote, phone, dog dish, and anything that has a light on it.
